Ian Hamilton

Ian teaches historical and pastoral theology at Westminster Seminary UK and Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary SC. Ian recently was appointed President of The Paton Society which aims to challenge Reformed Presbyterian churches to take the Great Commission seriously. He is married to Joan and they have four children and six grandchildren. He is a Scot!

John Hodges

John Mason Hodges is a conductor, lecturer, and composer, former college professor, and presently
leads the Center for Western Studies, a gap-year program that teaches the great books, music, and art of
the Western tradition. He conducted orchestras and choruses in Memphis for 26 years after finishing
graduate studies in music at Indiana University, and he is presently Music Director of the Monroe,
Louisiana Symphony Orchestra. He is also co-creator/composer/lyricist of the musical GOLDEN,
presently in development in New York City. He is a regular lecturer for the Circe Institute, L’abri
Fellowship, and has lectured in other venues in the US, South America, and Europe. He and his wife Day
have been married for 41 years, and live in Memphis Tennessee. He has one son, Mason, married to
Beth, and has two beautiful grandchildren, Jack and Ruthie.

Andrew McLeod

Andy earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University (BS ’86, MS ’88) and worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 37 years in the US and UK. He also served as a commissioned officer in the Army National Guard. During his career at Eastman, Andy’s roles included mechanical system design, process and product improvement, manufacturing and supply-chain management, and intellectual property manager. He is a former deacon and current ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in America and has served the local homeschool community as a sports coach and math teacher. Andy is married to Janice (41 years), and they are blessed with four children and seven grandchildren. Since retirement in 2024, he continues to work full time: for Christ’s church, in Christian education, on furniture, in his (fallen) garden, and on his fitness.

Andy will be speaking on “The Theology of Work,” exploring work as a God-given calling and its meaning, challenges, and stewardship in the life of the Christian.

Dr. James (Jim) Newheiser

Dr. James (Jim) Newheiser, Jr., is the Director of the Christian Counseling Program and Professor of Christian Counseling and Pastoral Theology at RTS Charlotte. For 25 years, Dr. Newheiser served as the Preaching Pastor at Grace Bible Church in Escondido, California. He is also the Director of the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (formerly CCEF West) and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University. Furthermore, Dr. Newheiser serves as a board member at both the Biblical Counseling Coalition (BCC) and the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

Dr. Newheiser teaches many of the counseling courses as well as some practical theology courses. Jim has been married to his wife Caroline since 1979, and they have 3 adult children.
